The Southern Pacific Depot
serves signature steaks, seafood and innovative specials in one of California's most unique settings: a century-old train depot in downtown Visalia. With two magnificient chandeliers, the former arrivals hall is now a dining room. Follow a locomotive's light to the bar. A collection of historic photos about the town and its trains add to the decor, as do several colorful stained glass windows imported from Italy. Trains still pass by the front door, and you'll know when they do, even if don't hear the whistle. In the dining room and the bar, the staff rings authentic train bells.
