Visalia Town Trolley

Located in the heart of California’s Central Valley, at the base of the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Visalia is the oldest town between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

The city is easily reached by highway, with major population and business centers such as Sacramento, San Francisco and Los Angeles all within a 3 ½ hour drive. Transportation to Visalia is made easy with Amtrak service. Air service operates out of Visalia with daily flights to Las Vegas and twice-daily flights to Los Angeles International Airport (beginning May 15, 2011).   The city is also conveniently located within 45 miles of the Fresno Yosemite International Airport

Whether you decide to drive, travel by rail, or fly, Visalia is a great place to “Meet in the Middle”.

GETTING AROUND VISALIA

Visalia provides visitors and residents with many public transportation options. The centrally-located Transit Center in downtown is the hub of transportation activity.  Generous parking nearby facilitates easy Park & Ride transportation to outlying shopping malls, businesses and attractions.

The Transit Center serves passengers for the City Coach Service that circulates to in-town business and shopping areas, the Tulare County Area Transit system which serves outlying cities, and sends busses to the train station in a neighboring town.

The Visalia Towne Trolley provides free downtown shuttle service from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday; from 7:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The Towne Trolley's stops include the Transit Center, Courthouse, many area-hotels, and The Visalia Convention Center, arriving at each stop every 15 minutes.

From limo's to double-decker buses provided by The Classic Status and Classic Charter, to van rentals from Visalia Van Rental, local taxi services, The Sequoia Shuttle, The Visalia Trolley, and much more, your venture in and around Visalia is sure to be an easy one.
